“Every cap has a story and this one dates back to 1980, a momentous year in World Series history where records were broken and legends were made.
Celebrating a momentous year in baseball, the latest release from the New Era Heritage Series features some of Major League Baseball’s top performing teams from the 1980 season. Each cap carefully replicates the finest details of the caps worn in each of the teams’ playing roster in a year where records were broken and legends were made.
Making their first ever appearnce in MLB’s annual championship series, the Philadelphia Phillies – under the leadership of a rookie manager – claimed victory over the Kansas City Royals during a televised game that attracted over 54 million viewers – a record that has never since been broken.
Re-mastered with traditional team colours, the four 59FIFTY’s offer 100% wool fabric, blank white taping on the inside panels and flat stitch embroidery to mirror every detail of the On-Field caps worn at the time of play.”
