It was a busy one this weekend.

After travelling to London on Friday, I came back to Devon on the Saturday night and got in at about 23:30. The weekend wasn’t over there, though. We were then up and out of the door at 07:00 on Sunday morning to drive up to Manchester for the football.

I’d only ever been to see United with my Dad once, and that was back in December of 2003 when I was just 9 years old. That was also the last time that he went to see them play, and also the last Premier League game I had been to as I’ve only been to European games since.

Sunday’s game saw United pitched against the Merseyside blues, Everton. Coincidentally, it was also Everton who Manchester United played back on December 26th, 2003 when Dad and I last went up together.

Before the game, we had a wonder around Manchester and I made sure to pop into Classic Football Shirts‘ Manchester pop-up store which was brilliant.

Here’s a few snaps from the day, including a panini from Costa named “pigs tucked under blankets” which angered me more than it should have. It’s “pigs in blankets”!
