The Class of ’08

On Sunday, 4th June 2017, Ryan, Ronnie and I went to Old Trafford to watch Michael Carrick’s Manchester United testimonial match.

Carrick’s team – the Manchester United 2008 XI, comprised of some top players from the 2008 era such as Edwin van der Sar, Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Nemanja Vidić. The opposition – Michael Carrick All-Stars XI also had some big names on the teamsheet such as Éric Abidal, Clarence Seedorf, Eiður Guðjohnsen and Michael Owen.

The United side were managed by Old Trafford legend Sir Alex Ferguson, whilst the All-Stars were led by Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp (who we later met at the airport).

Here’s a few photos from the day:

Double rum and coke; no ice. I make stuff on the internet, love The Weeknd, The Walking Dead, Manchester United, hip-hop and buying ''too many'' hats and shoes.
