About me

Hi, I’m Jamie!

From Monday to Friday, I work at an IT company in Honiton called Cosmic. I joined Cosmic in January 2013 and completed a year-long apprenticeship in Business Administration – I was then offered a full-time role at the company within the company’s web team.

My role sees me building websites for businesses, non-profits and sole traders all around the South West and beyond, as well as providing support for existing website customers on the use of their content management systems, search engine optimisation and pay-per-click advertising. In addition to this, I also meet with prospective new clients to discuss their requirements for new websites, and then acting as the main point-of-contact throughout the design, development and after-care stages. Being a keen writer, I also contribute to the company blog, writing about the topics I practice each day at work.

I pride myself in being able to share knowledge in an easily digestible manner to our clients, as well as being able to work with inspiring companies and individuals all over the world.

Before joining the Cosmic team, I studied at Exmouth Community College, gaining A-Levels in English Language, French and Media. I also worked in the kitchen at Otterton Mill for over 4 years whilst at college and for a short time afterwards before venturing into the world of IT.

Outside of work, I regularly takes trips up north to see my favourite football team Manchester United, as well as (badly) playing golf at East Devon Golf Club. As you’re probably aware, I have also been a keen blogger for over 10 years, running multiple blogs on various topics that I’m interested in such as football and music.
